Kalkudah, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka
A 15-room coastal retreat designed around natural light, sea breezes and the quiet rhythm of Kalkudah’s shoreline.

Hospitality concept, architecture, interior design and project delivery
Panimozhi Club House is a contemporary coastal retreat located close to the beach in Kalkudah, Sri Lanka.
Designed with 15 modern rooms, the project offers more than accommodation. It creates a calm and carefully composed setting where architecture, landscape and the surrounding coastal atmosphere work together to support rest and escape.
The design responds to the character of the Eastern Province shoreline through a restrained contemporary language. Natural light, open terraces and subtle textures create a relaxed atmosphere, while the proximity to the beach allows guests to experience the sea breeze, coastal air and sound of the waves as part of the stay.
Each room is planned to combine comfort with a clear connection to its surroundings. The architecture avoids unnecessary complexity, allowing the coastal setting to remain central to the experience. Soft material tones and understated detailing contribute to a sense of warmth and calm.
Panimozhi Club House is designed for travellers seeking a slower pace, whether they are spending time by the ocean, exploring the surrounding area or simply taking a break from the demands of city life.
The project reflects Excello’s approach to hospitality design: creating places where architecture supports the experience of arrival, stay and memory. At Panimozhi, contemporary comfort is balanced with the natural character of Kalkudah, creating a tranquil retreat shaped by light, breeze and proximity to the sea.
